20 Weeks and starting to count down!
I am actually 22 weeks as of right now, I'm writing this blog post a little late, but better late than never right? I have been having headaches a lot lately, however in the past week they have subsided, so I am truly grateful for that. I also have had some MAJOR sciatic pain this go round and I never had the, um, joy of experiencing that with Kensleigh. My doctor says its from picking up my sweet baby girl and to try to do it as little as possible. However, she's just so darn cute and sweet I have a really hard time not picking her up when she asks.
Our 20 Week ultrasound went great, if you count Kensleigh crying for me to hold her the entire ultrasound, even though she was in her Daddy's arms the entire time. What can I say, she loves me- I should be flattered right?! We actually get one more chance to see baby boy at 24 weeks and then its really time to start counting down and getting things in order. I know, I know it's still early, but I've always felt that the last half of pregnancy goes by pretty fast. To me it just slows down right before your due date when you really, really want that baby out and to sleep on you stomach again. Which speaking of stomach sleeping-thats my favorite position- however it did feel quite strange when I was able to sleep that way again after Kensleigh. I found myself sleeping on my sides a lot more and having to remind myself that stomach sleeping was okay and to flip on over! Anyone else feel that way?
I must say, being a stay at home mom and being pregnant has been wonderful and I am so lucky to get to experience it this go round. I haven't had any vein issues and have managed a nap several days when Kensleigh is napping too. I remember with Kensleigh being so tired from work that when I would get home I would literally crash into the sofa and then Jong would have to move me to our bed. So I am thankful for sleep and being well rested.
Cravings so far this pregnancy: Chick Fil A everything, sweet tea, turkey/cucumber wraps, yogurt with granola, and my tervis filled with ice cold water! Of course I have had a few others, but these are my most consistent, won't go away cravings!
I've finally figured out what I want to do in the nursery, but to be honest I am more concerned with Kensleigh's big girl room. My plan is to do her room in June and start to transition her, then work on the nursery. Who knows it could be December before the nursery actually gets done (hopefully not), but like I said who knows! At least the plan is for him to sleep in his bassinet in our room for the first few months. He'll never know the difference, right?
