Lately...

We have been super busy in this household the past month.  I started back at work January 2nd, Jong's been busy with his restaurant, and Miss Kensleigh is just a growing.

Going back to work was hard-I'm not going to lie.  Luckily, I have a support system in place.  One of my dear friends started back a little before me and it's definitely helped to have her to talk to.  We like to call ourselves the "working milk mommas".  Now  thats because we both read a book called The Milk Memos.  Its about a group of moms who work at IBM and their experiences going back to work and nursing.  I truly recommend it to anyone working/nursing.  I think I even cried a little when I finished the book because I felt like I had gotten to know these women and now that I finished it I wouldn't have them to encourage me.  There are good days and bad days.  Days I am glad to be going to work and days I feel guilty for not being at home.  But I am doing a great work and cannot come down-Nehemiah 6:3 And this is where I need to be at the moment.

Jong and I found a wonderful nanny for Kensleigh.  I couldn't be happier with her.  We both felt strongly about  keeping Kensleigh in her environment and after much discussion and a few interviews we met Katie.  And it was truly a Godsend. You know how you "just know" sometimes?  Thats how we felt about her.  I can't really explain it, but we both had a feeling and went with it and we welcomed Katie into our lives.  How our schedule plays out (since neither of us has a traditional 8-5 job) we are able to be with her most of the week and then Katie keeps her about 3 days, so it works out really well.

And then Little Miss Kens (as I like to call her) just keeps on growing.  She was 13.7lbs  (40%) and 26" long (90%) at her 4month checkup.  She is doing really good.  Just as happy as can be.  She is sleeping around 11 hours at night, can roll over both ways, and is just a joy to be around.  My favorite is walking into her room in the mornings when I hear her talking to herself and she just looks at me and smiles the biggest smile and squeals in delight.  Oh, how children change your world.  Just precious.  You almost wonder how you lived with out them and then you think, well you just slept a lot more.

Here's some of my favorite pictures lately and I promise I will try to blog a little bit more.

I'm so proud of how you are juggling everything! She's probably the cutest little girl I know. I love you and I want to her (and you) soon!
